Chinese tech giants LeEco and Coolpad officially announced its latest device - the Cool S1 smartphone - in China. The smartphone is said to feature Snapdragon 821 processor and a massive 6GB of RAM onboard.

LeEco and Coolpad have teamed up together once again to unveil the next-gen "Cool" smartphone. The phone is the third device in the lineup after the Cool1 Dual and Cool Charger 1C. The Cool S1 smartphone is available only in China, and no words yet whether the phone will launch on the global market.

As for the specification, the new Cool S1 smartphone features a 5.5-inch Full HD (1920 x 1080 pixels) display screen. Under the hood, the phone is powered by Snapdragon 821 processor clocked at a speed of 2.35GHz. The handset comes in two storage versions, the 4GB of RAM + 64GB ROM and the 6GB of RAM + 128GB native internal storage.

In the photography department, the Cool S1 smartphone boasts a 16-megapixel main camera that is capable of 4K video recording, PDAF (Phase detection auto focus), and dual-LED flash support. On the front is an 8-megapixel front-facing sensor for selfies. Another highlight on the device is the two front-facing speakers with Harman's Clari-Fi audio enhancing technology.

The Cool S1 smartphone runs on Android 6.0 (Marshmallow) operating system out of the box. It is fueled by 4,070mAh capacity battery, which is capable of delivering quite a decent battery life. Connectivity options include 4G network support, dual SIM, Bluetooth, OTG, and USB Type-C.

LeEco and Coolpad are selling the Cool S1 smartphone in three configurations. The 4GB RAM + 64GB internal storage is priced at approximately $359, the 6GB RAM + 64GB of internal storage at $388, and the 6GB RAM + 128GB native storage at $460.
