Chinese smartphone manufacturer Ulefone announced that it is rolling out an update in order to mimic the 3D Touch function from the Apple iPhone. Although 3D Touch is not exactly a game changer when it comes to new smartphone features, it does allow users to hold down an app and access the options menu directly from the home screen, a feature that some users find very nifty.

Not all Ulefone smartphones will get this feature. In fact, the reworked 3D Touch feature is only integrated on the Ulefone U008. The U008 also allows users to use a double layer screen which can be swiped across app icons in order to open the options menu, according to Giz China.

The best part of this is that users who want to have a 3D Touch experience will not have to pay hefty sums of money for it. The Ulefone U008 only costs $59.99 and also packs a decent set of hardware, especially for its price.

According to Android Headlines, the Ulefone U008 has a 5-inch display with HD resolution. At its heart is a MediaTek MTK6737 chipset with a processor clocked at 1.3GHz, 2GB of memory, and 16GB of storage space which can be expanded.

On the camera aspect, the phone packs a Sony IMX219 8-megapixel camera which is interpolated to snap 13-megapixel photos and videos. It also has a 5-megapixel front-facing camera for selfie shots and video calling. The Ulefone U008 has a 3500mAh battery pack. It comes it three color variants: black, gray, and pink.
