For all interest shown, there is a catch. On the side of Rousey's busy schedule, the promoters of the sport would be obliged to pay her to compete in the event.

"I'd be happy to do a Metamoris if they paid me as much as they paid me for a UFC fight," Rousey told reporters at the UFC Fight Night 51 event in Brasilia, Brazil. She also mentioned her lack of time.

The fighter known by her nickname "Rowdy' got on the wrong side of the jiu-jitsu community due to her early comments on how she would fare on the ground with elite grapplers. These comments eventually got twisted into a comparison between her sport of Judo and the art of Jiu Jitsu.

Rousey denied making such comparisons stating that a jiu-jitsu person is generally better on the ground. She also pointed out about girls being offended by her thinking that she is the best in the world and would simply beat them.

World jiu-jitsu champion Bia Mesquita challenged the UFC women's bantamweight queen but Rousey said that she has other things on her plate as she balances an acting career in between her MMA fights.

"I think it would be a really really cool idea when I'm done fighting, too, because that's one of those sports that are kinder on the joints that you can do for a long time." Rousey said.

Despite all those conditions, Rousey is still open to joining Shinya AokiBrendan SchaubJosh Barnett, and Chael Sonnen who have been active in Metamoris events.
