Last season's fourth-place finishers Shanghai Greenland Shenhua FC (1-0-0, 3 points) will look to continue to build momentum in the 2017 Chinese Super League season as they face newly-promoted team Tianjin Quanjian FC (0-1-0, 0 points) at the Hongkou Stadium on March 11, Saturday.

Shanghai Shenhua started the new season with a bang, routing presumed title contenders Jiangsu Suning, 4-0, also at their home field of Hongkou Stadium last Sunday, as per ESPN. Newly-acquired striker Carlos Tevez had an impressive performance in his CSL debut with a goal and two assists to lead head coach Gus Poyet's side.

Tevez assisted team captain Giovanni Moreno's opening goal in the 17th minute before doubling his squad's lead in the 36th with a penalty kick. Local forward Mao Jianqing then made it a 3-0 count in the 79th, this time with the pass coming from Shenhua's third import, Fredy Guarin.

Moreno scored his second goal of the game in the 86th minute to seal the win with Tevez again providing the assist. Meanwhile, Tianjin Quanjian started the season on the wrong foot as they were blanked by Guangzhou R&F, 0-2, in their season-opener last Saturday on the road at the Guangdong Provincial People's Stadium, The Sun reported.

R&F striker Xiao Zhi opened the scoring in the 29th minute with an unmarked header inside the box off a pass by midfielder Chen Zhizhao. Brazilian midfielder Renatinho then made it a 2-0 count one minute after the hour-mark as head coach Fabio Cannavaro's side lost their opening game of the season.

Tianjin imports Alexandre Pato and Axel Witsel had sub-par debuts for Cannavaro. Pato, a former Chelsea flop, missed all four of his chances during the match.

The predicted result is a 2-0 romp by Shanghai Shenhua. Shanghai Shenhua starting lineup (4-2-3-1 formation): Li S.; Wang, Tao, Li J., Bai; Guarin, Qin; Xu, Moreno, Cao; Tevez. Tianjin Quanjian starting lineup (4-3-3 formation): Zhang L.; Zhang C., Yang, Liu, Mi; Zhao, Wang J., Witsel; Geuvânio, Wang Y., Pato
