Halo: The Master Chief Collection will have its release on Xbox One this November and but the PC is out of the picture. Microsoft said its main focus is the Xbox One version of the game.

Dan Ayoub, executive producer of game developer 343 industries, said they received some questions about the game coming to the PC but the main focus is on the Xbox One version and they're just couple of months away from the release.

He said it's not impossible to bring the game to the PC. The scope of the project, however, is too big that taking on two versions (Xbox and PC) at once is one tricky step.

"From a technical standpoint, you look at the architecture of the Xbox One and there are some similarities to the architecture of a modern PC. That certainly makes that sort of cross-platform development easier. But beyond that the ease goes away. Master Chief Collection is massive. We have to coordinate four games, 100-plus maps, a lot of new cinematics, and Halo 2 Anniversary."

Ayoub said the scope of the project means its best to go with just the Xbox One.

He clarified the appeal of the PC platform is still a good idea to 343 Industries along with its huge install base and modding support.

There are limitless possibilities for the game when it releases to the PC. Like, you can find it everywhere, said Ayoub.

Microsoft denied the retail listing for a PC version of The Master Chief Collection appeared last month, saying it's just the product page that was posted in error.

Additionally, the remastered versions of the numbered Halo games, The Master Chief Collection, include access to Ridley Scott's live-action show, Halo: Nightfall.

If players purchase the bundle, they can have a sure spot in the Halo 5: Guardians beta, which runs December 29 to January 19.
