Motorola lists the band line up as follows: XT1095 (Pure Edition): Bands 02, 04, 17,  XT1097 (AT&T): Bands 03, 02, 05, 04, 17, 07, XT1096 (Verizon): Bands 03, 02, 07, 04, 13.

Motorola forums manager Moto Matt writes that the XT1095 will have a software update to enable bands 5, 7 and 3 on the Moto X Pure Edition. It is considered notable because the XT1095 is limited to T-Mobile and AT&T in the United States and adding Bands will significantly increase the capacity to roam overseas. It is an expected ability on SIM-unlocked phones. However, it is still unknown when the software update will be released.

According to reports, the Pure Edition is the Moto X's unlocked version which has bands 4, 17 and 2, making the phone for use in the United States through T-Mobile and AT&T. Adding 3, 5 and 7 bands will allow the handset to be used while roaming overseas because bands 3 and 7 are big In Southeast regions of Asia and Europe.

Moto Matt also revealed that the Moto X will not be available through T-Mobile and Sprint. T-Mobile will sell an unlocked version for $499.

The estimate shipping period following a Moto X order is 16 days. The software update could be available after shipment of the product.
