Floyd Mayweather Sr. is confident that a bout between Philippine boxer Manny Pacquiao and his son, Floyd Mayweather Jr., will happen.

"That fight's definitely gonna happen. It's a fight for the world, man, right there. It's the biggest fight that has ever been in life, so like I said, man, that fight's gonna happen," Mayweather Sr. told fighthype.com

Even though Mayweather Jr. has never told his father about his fight plans, Mayweather Sr. is sure it is going to happen.

The only thing he knows is that his son only has two fights left on his six-fight Showtime deal. He also knows that after his contract is up, his son will be looking to retire from professional boxing.

He believes that all signs point to the mega fight against Pacquiao.

Mayweather Jr., current welterweight and junior middleweight title holder, and owner of an impressive record with 47 wins, no losses, and 26 knockouts, has not spoken of any plans. The only thing he said was that he is looking to fight this May.

With regards to Pacquiao, the only thing he said is that he needs to focus on what's in front of him, and when he gets through, he can look to the future.

"If the Pacquiao fight presents itself, let's make it happen," Mayweather Jr. said.

Pacquiao on the other hand is set to face Chris Algieri to defend his welterweight title in Macau, China. The fight is set to take place on November 22.

Pacquiao had been teasing Mayweather Jr. on social media. He has posted several times on Twitter, saying things like, "he acts like an uneducated man," and "he should fear God."

The fight has been a long time coming, with several reasons stopping the fight from coming into fruition.

Things are looking hopeful though, as Pacquiao's promoter Bob Arum said that HBO and Showtime are looking to work together for a joint pay-per-view.
