House of Cards is a US TV series from Netflix that just finished its 2nd season this year. The show falls under the genre of political drama and the network decided to continue its running with an upcoming Season 3 on early next year.

The TV drama was originally a novel by Michael Dobbs. And due to its good ratings, the 3rd season is to be expected with 13 episodes. The show has also acquired a lot of nominations from prestigious award giving bodies like the Emmy's since it aired and that contributed a lot to the network's popularity.

The scene of the story is located in Washington DC and it focuses on Frank Underwood (played by Kevin Spacey) who climbed the ladder of success from being Secretary of State to becoming the President of the United States. It was definitely a shocking plot twist for most viewers who do not want Frank to be successful on his mission.

Meanwhile, season 2 ended with quite a cliffhanger involving Frank Underwood's newly appointed Chief Of Staff Doug Stamper (played by Michael Kelly) and an encounter with Rachel Posner (played by Rachel Brosnahan), a prostitute who happened to hit him hard in the head leaving him unconscious. His eyes were still open when the show ended so it is really hard to conclude immediately that he died.

The cast and crew of the show are now in production in Washington, DC. There are people who spotted the team on the set, which just even more confirms its airing on 2015. The show has been doing so good that even before season 2 ended, writers have already started working on the plot for the next season.

House of Cards is coming back with lots of major plot twists on February 2015 via Netflix. The network has not made a statement just yet on the exact date of its release.
