J.K. Rowling is once again using her magic to pen three new "Harry Potter" spinoffs.

These movies are described as "set in extension of her familiar wizarding world, featuring magical creatures and inspired by Harry Potter's Hogwarts textbook and its fictitious author."

Of the three wizard world-based movies, "Fantastic Beasts and Where to Find Them" would be released the first. It will be directed by the same director of the last four "Harry Potter" movies, David Yates.

It is not only the director who is returning to the production. The same filmmaking team who worked in the "Harry Potter" films will also be called to duty.

"Fantastic Beasts and Where to Find Them" is set to be released in 2016. In the "Harry Potter" books and movies, "Fantastic Beasts" was mentioned to be one of the several text books the Hogwarts students had to purchase at Flourish and Blott's. It was penned by Newt Scamander, who will also be the protagonist in the upcoming movie.

"I thought it was a fun idea, but the idea of seeing Newt Scamander, the supposed author of Fantastic Beasts, realized by another writer was difficult," said Rowling.''

"Having lived for so long in my fictional universe, I feel very protective of it," the best-selling author said of her decision to write its screenplay.

Not much is known about the second and third movies, except that the will be released in 2018 and 2020.

Rowling's best known work, the Harry Potter books, were published from 1997 to 2007. It tells the story of an orphaned wizard who attends Hogwarts School of Witchcraft and Wizardry. Since the books were so successful, they have been adapted into movies that earned a couple hundred million dollars in box office sales.
