Or maybe that he never left.

The game was a high scoring one, with Roethlisberger and his Steelers never letting up the pressure.

In the first quarter, the Colts were the first to score with a field goal. However, Roethlisberger threw his first touchdown to Markus Wheaton; an 18-yard pass to cap off a nine-play drive.

From there, the Steelers went full throttle.

In the second quarter, Roethlisberger completed three more touchdown passes to Martavis Bryant and a couple more to Antonio Brown.

The Steelers' defense also got a piece of the action, with William Gay intercepting a return kick for a 33-yard touchdown.

Andrew Luck also completed a couple of passes in the second.

By halftime, the Steelers were up by 15 points, 35-20.

An early touchdown pass in the third quarter brought the lead up to 22 points. However, the Colts fought back with a couple more touchdowns - a pass to Donte Moncrief and a 12-yard run to Ahmad Bradshaw - to cut the deficit to eight points.

The fourth quarter was all Steelers though, with Roethlisberger getting his record sixth touchdown pass to Heath Miller that capped the game.

Roethlisberger is the only quarterback since the 1960's to reach the feat of 40 passes, 500 yards, and six touchdowns in one game.

He almost came close to reaching the NFL record held by Norman Van Brocklin with 554 passing yards.

He tied Boomer Esiason though with the fourth-most passing yard of all-time in a single game.
