World No. 1 Novak Djokovic defeated sixth seeded Kei Nishikori in two straight sets 6-2 6-3 to meet Canadian star Milos Raonic in the finals of the PNB Paribas Masters in Paris on Saturday.

The defending champion needed only 62 minutes and four break points to dispose the Japan Open titlist and avenged his loss at the semifinals of the recent U.S. Open in New York.

"I haven't dropped a set getting into the final and I feel fresh and motivated to play well," Djokovic said. "I could see Kei wasn't serving at his best and maybe that was down to injury or feeling fatigued after finishing late against Ferrer."

The 27-year-old Serb, whose wife Jelena recently gave birth to their first child named Stefan, will now face seventh seeded Raonic in the finals for their sixth encounter wherein Dokovic has won all five previous matches.

The China Open titlist is also gunning for his 600th career victory and 20th ATP Masters 1000 tournament title.

"I've been very impressed with Raonic," Djokovic said. "He's one of the best servers in the game. He's experiencing the best time of his career and he's coming off back-to-back wins against Federer and Berdych and I'm sure he's motivated to win tomorrow."

For the Malaysian Open champion, Nishikori will be heading to London and participate at the season-ending ATP World Tour Finals after he defeated David Ferrer in the quarters, whom he also eliminated in the event.

The U.S. Open finalist is the first Asian-born player to have ever participated in the prestigious eight-man short list.

"I'm really excited to go to London next week," Nishikori said. "It's the first time. First experience. It's going to be a lot of tension and I might get nervous in the first match, but I will try to enjoy the moment."
