Is It a Bush vs Clinton in the 2016 US Presidential Race?

Former US President George W. Bush and brother Jeb

Political analysts in the United States are not downplaying any possibility that two familiar political names could be up against each other in the 2016 Presidential race - Bush and Clinton.

Hillary Clinton, the former Secretary of State, has been seen as the leading contender for the Democrats in the 2016 elections but former President George W. Bush said his Republican brother, Jeb Bush, would make a great president. Jeb was former governor for Florida

In an interview with CNN last week, the former president said he will be very happy to play Big Brother should Jeb decides to run for president, although the older Bush said he has not spoken with Jeb about the 2016 Presidential campaign.

"I hope Jeb runs," Bush said.

Jeb Bush has been near the top of early public opinion survey for the 2016 GOP nomination. Jeb is up against Mike Huckabee, the former Arkansas governor and Kentucky Senator Rand Paul. However, a survey conducted by Florida's Quinnipac University showed that Jeb would get the GOP nomination.

The New York Times also reported last week that Republican donors are bent on supporting Jeb over New Jersey Governor Chris Christie should the two decide to run.

But that doesn't mean it will be an easy Presidential victory for Jeb, the university survey said. Quinnipac said Jeb will trail Hillary Clinton if they are in a head-to-head matchup right now in the crucial swing state.

Hillary Clinton, meanwhile, has not made a decision yet on whether or not she will run in the 2016 Presidential election but she has been receiving support and endorsements from both the private and public sectors.

This early, a Political Action Campaign (PAC) dubbed "Ready for Hillary" has already raised more than US $5.7 million as part of efforts to build support for the presidential campaign of Mrs. Clinton.
