What started out as a step forward in strengthening mobile screens has quickly become a fight between the most valuable brand in the world and a sapphire crystal glass supplier, GT Advanced Technologies, which recently announced Chapter 11 bankruptcy.

When GT Advanced announced the bankruptcy, Apple filed plenty of claims to keep the sapphire supplier quiet. This worked, for a few weeks, but now GT Advanced is striking back with claims Apple forced its hand and acted like "a bully" in the agreement.

After questioning some of the terms of the agreement, Apple reportedly told GT Advanced to "put on your big boy pants and accept the agreement," before pushing GT Advanced to change the process of creation, without changing the payment structure.

This, according to GT Advanced, made the agreement a "I win, you lose" opportunity - there was no way for GT Advanced to gain anything from the agreement and if they failed to deliver, they would lose everything.

Apple has denied these allegations, claiming GT Advanced is trying to "portray Apple as a coercive bully," CEO Tim Cook also claimed these allegations were "gratuitous, false, and wholly irrelevant."

The issue here is Apple cannot or will not reveal its own terms and documents, making it hard for the court to understand what went wrong in the agreement. This comes at a time when GT Advanced seem confident that Apple is in the wrong, revealing all kinds of issues in the relationship.

Even with the sapphire supplier filing for bankruptcy, Apple is still on track to launch the Apple Watch in Spring 2015, according to internal reports from the Chief of Retail.
