Blizzard Addresses ‘Warlords of Draenor’ Server Issues; 2,000 Gamers Ask White House for Help

Just hours after its debut, "Warlords of Draenor" was plagued by some serious issues that led to loud complaints from players. Blizzard's addressed the game's problems, however, and provided an update that may calm disappointed players, said Gamespot.

Micah 'Bashiok' Whiple, community manager of "World of Warcraft" forums, said the server issues are "due to the sheer number of the players attempting to enter Draenor from a single location."

It can be recalled that "Warlords of Draenor" was first launched in Europe and players couldn't stop playing the new game, PC Gamer reports.

"We worked to add multiple new ways to access Draenor, and this helped ease some of the initial rush into the new expansion as players were able to access it from their capital cities, as well as from the shrines in Pandaria," said Blizzard.

Blizzard, which is known for its high quality games, is reportedly lowering the realm population cap in areas with server lag problems. "We're continuing to maintain a lowered realm population cap to help with the stability, which is resulting in increased queue times."

The game studio claims "Warlord of Draenor" that will be disconnected from the online game will be queued to be able to log back in the game. Queued players need not worry as they'll still be able to play the hit video game.

According to PC Gamers, server lags aren't an isolated issue in Europe as more than 2,000 Americans have already signed a petition that demands the White House address the "Warlords of Draenor" issues. The petition, considered one of the more popular petitions placed before the Obama administration, complained about the inconvenience caused by the game's problems.

"We humbly petition that the US government lend aid to Blizzard Entertainment so that they can adequately handle this stressful situation," the petition said. On the other hand, the petition needs more signatures before it can be presented to President Barrack Obama for consideration.

Aside from server lags, "Warlords of Draenor" also has other issues now being addressed by Blizzard. These problems include "instance servers timing out" that causes glitches in dungeon access.

Blizzard is also trying to fix server issues in Warlords that result in "Player Not Found" results and disconnection issues. Lastly, the game house is also fixing the garrison server problems that result in phasing and performance glitches.
