Dave Chappelle says Donald Sterling shouldn't have lost Clippers

Comedian Dave Chappelle was vocal about his views on Donald Sterling's recent fiasco which caused him to let go of his team.  He finds it hard to imagine that one can lose possessions just by having an awfully secret conversation leaked, in the case of Sterling it was a racially charged statement.

LA Times reported that Sterling was fined $2.5 million and was banned from the NBA league, not to mention a firm request to the Board of Governors to have the team sold.  It was acquired by Steve Ballmer, a former chief executive of Microsoft for $2 billion.

Chappelle, featured in GQ Magazine as one of the 2014 men of year, firmly disagreed on the way Sterling's case was handled. It seemed unjust to use a person's private doing against him. He said that, "I don't like the idea that someone could record a secret conversation and that a person could lose their assets from that, even though I think what he said was awful," LA Times revealed.

He further added that if a record of his private statements be made public, he could lose everything he possesses in just a short period.

Sometime in June, Chappelle even joked about Sterling in a stint at Radio City Music Hall in New York.  The comedian said in jest that 'an old white man,' (referring to Sterling) being racist was absolutely stunning.

On the other hand, Blake Griffin of Clipper's recently wrote in Player's Tribune that, ever since, he was not comfortable about the allege racism issues against Sterling.
