Bosco Wong Receives the Best Actor Award for His Role in 'Golden Brother'

Hong Kong actor and restaurateur Bosco Wong receives the Best Actor award for his role in the movie 'Golden Brother' during the 6th Europe -China Image Film Festival (ECIFF) which is one of the biggest Chinese film fests in Europe.

Wong has proven his acting prowess once again by portraying one of the lead characters in 'Golden Brother' and winning the Best Actor award for it.

During his acceptance speech, the 33-year old actor stated that many of the audience were able to relate with the characters featured in said film, adding that young people can learn a lot of lessons and values in the film, particularly on its social influences.

In the press conference that followed after the awards ceremony, Wong expressed his surprise and gladness in winning the awards. He shared that he drank wine with his manager and that he has not yet told his mother about his latest achievement.

"I want to surprise her with the news on Weibo," says the actor to the reporters who covered the event.

Since he will be turning 34 years old this coming December 13, Wong said that he considers the award he has received as an early birthday gift. He has also stated that the award helped him boost his confidence, even expressing that he feels more comfortable taking on the film industry.

The actor was not able to make it to the celebratory dinner since he had to rush back to Hengdian World Studios in China in order to film the new idol drama 'Destined to Love You', which was created by renowned film maker Tong Hua.

'Golden Brother', which was directed by Chung Shu Kai, is a romantic comedy which deals with the story of an unlucky office employee who lost his job and his girlfriend at the same time. The film is based on a famous online biography novel.
