It is every child's dream to be Peter Pan or to be with Peter Pan and when they grew up with that kind of dream, they only wish is to work with the Peter Pan production and that was what happened to the writer, Irene Mecchi. Her dream of working with "Peter Pan Live!" had just come true when he got the phone call for a job.

Mecchi is a San Francisco native, graduated from the St. Rose Academy and UC Berkeley. Part of her work is "Lion King" both stage and the animated film, "Brave" and the upcoming "Strange Magic".

According to Mecchi, "Peter Pan Live!" will be directed by Rob Ashford, who is also working as the stage manager, putting every piece together and showcasing professionalism.

Mecchi once dreamt of becoming a character actor or a stage actor, but the local actor, Joy Carlin suggested to her to consider writing. It was her mother who influenced her about musical theater and she eventually falls in love with the stage plays It was also her mother who took her and her sister to "The Sounds of Music" when she was still a kid. Since then she felt like she was bitten by the theater bug, but not as a stage actress. She is always checking the pink section to check if there is a new show in town. She dedicates "Peter Pan Live!" to her beloved mother.

Mecchi first work was with executive producers Craig Zadon and Neil Meron when she was working with the "Peter Pan" draft.

As for the cast of "Peter Pan Live!", Peter Pan will be portrayed by Allison Williams, Captain Hook will be played by Christopher Walken, Smee and George Darling will be played by Christopher Borle and Mrs. Darling will be played by Kelli O'Hara.
