(Photo : Accenture) Microsoft has partnered with management consulting firm Accenture, to create a new hybrid cloud solution for Microsoft Azure.

One of the largest partnerships in the enterprise world was formed this week when Microsoft and Accenture announced they will work on Accenture Hybrid Cloud Solution for Microsoft Azure, a new platform for enterprise cloud users.

The two companies are already major players in the enterprise technology market, working with thousands of clients worldwide. Accenture works on management, outsourcing and technology services for clients.

Both companies will supply technical and financial support for the project. Avanade will provide management solutions and more technical support for the project. Avanade is Microsoft and Accenture's other 50/50 joint venture, created in 2000.

The partnership looks to grow out cloud use in the enterprise, somewhere Microsoft and Accenture can capitalize on. Microsoft is looking towards public and private partnerships.

Currently, the cloud is still a questionable move for enterprise. The amount of companies, organizations and government still running on hard-drives or even pen and paper is incredible, considering it is 2014.

Accenture hopes they will be able to influence organizations to invest in cloud technology - preferably Microsoft Azure - and change their workflow. Accenture will help manage this move and outsource any issues to its own 300,000 workforce.

The Accenture Cloud Solution for Microsoft Azure will start in Spring 2015. It is currently being piloted to check for bugs and issues, which both companies will work to sort out before an official launch.

Accenture will still offer its own cloud platform, which supports Amazon Web Services, Cisco InterCloud and various other cloud services. Microsoft will also work on solo projects for Azure, to make sure its own cloud service stays ahead of the pack.
