Discovery Communication is cooking something up for their supporters. It is currently planning on sealing a deal with Netflix.

Discovery wants to stream their programs over the popular streaming site, Netflix, but the two companies still need to talk about their conditions before sealing the deal.

According to David Zaslav, the President and CEO of Discovery Communications, Discovery want to make a deal with Netflix and Netflix also wants to seal a deal with them but there is still a question of value. He stated during the UBS investor conference.

Zaslav made the remarks after Discovery and Hulu made a deal on giving Hulu an exclusive subscription to the series "Deadliest Catch" and the rights to other programs. Hulu is a video-streaming website owned by Disney, Comcast and 21^st Century Fox.

According to Zaslav, the programs under Discovery is perfectly fit for Netflix because the site focuses on shows that offers original content.

In 2011, Discovery already made a two-year deal with Netflix that gave the popular site the ability to stream some of Discovery programs after they appeared on cable televisions.

Aside from making a deal with another company, Zaslav also wants to get additional rights for Eurosport and he also wants to expressed his commitment to Oprah Winfrey Network or OWN.

Discovery Communications, Inc. is a global mass media entertainment company based in Maryland. It was founded in 1985 by John S. Hendricks and the company started with a single channel. The company focuses on broadcasting, radio, cable television and Internet.  Robert Miron is the company's current chairman.

Meanwhile, Netflix is an on-demand Internet streaming media. It was established at Scott Valley, California in 1997 by  Reed Hastings and Marc Randolph. The company started as a video rental company, but now the company is known for streaming movies and original series.
