Bond Producers Say 'Spectre' Screenplay Stolen In Sony Hack

Producers of the James Bond movies have acknowledged that a screenplay for the new Bond film "Spectre" was one of the many materials that were stolen in the massive hack on Sony Pictures.

In a statement released on Saturday, the producers said that they are concerned that the third parties who have received a copy of the said screenplay might seek publication; they also sent a warning by saying that the material is subject to an international copyright.

The producers also promised that they would take all the necessary steps to protect their rights and their work against the people who stole the screenplay and also against anyone who plans to make use of it by attempting to take commercial advantage of the stolen property.

There has been speculation that North Korea was behind the massive hack, the attack was said to be their way of retaliating due to the upcoming release of the movie "The Interview". The film, which stars James Franco, depicts an attempt to assassinate North Korean leader Kim Jong Un. North Korea has since been condemned the movie, but they have denied that they had any part in the hack.

The Bond revelation is just one of the latest leaks. Highly confidential materials are being leaked almost daily, one of which is a conversation between Oscar winner and producer Scott Ruden and Sony Pictures Co-Chairman, Amy Pascal. In the leaked document Ruden called actress Angelina Jolie a "spoiled brat", they also made racial comments about President Barack Obama and his taste in movies.

Other leaks included employee background checks, salaries of their global employees as well as documents showing the per movie salary of both Jennifer Lawrence and James Franco.
