Hong Kong actress Tavia Yeung is reportedly slated to fill the shoes of a skilled warrior and aspiring Buddhist nun in the upcoming TVB drama entitled 'Noblesse Oblige'.

Yeung, who is known for her candid style in dealing with matters, will be playing the role of an ancient warrior in the new period drama 'Noblesse Oblige'. It is the first time the actress will be playing an action-packed heroine role.

In the drama, which is set during the Qing Dynasty era, Yeung will be portraying Wai Lam, who is hoping to become a Buddhist nun, but is also a skilled warrior of her time. Wai Lam then finds herself being the personal body guard and protector of To Chun Fung (portrayed by Hong Kong actor Kenneth Ma), a rich heir who becomes the country's magistrate by chance.

In a recent interview, Yeung shared that her portrayal of Wai Lam is the first of its kind in her whole career. "I fight from the beginning to the end," says the actress, who also shared that despite getting herself injured several times while filming, she enjoyed playing the character.

As the story progresses, Wai Lam and Fung will be taking down the corrupt personalities in the nobility, aiming to cleanse the royal court of its treacherous subjects.

Yeung then shared that there had been scenes that were too difficult for her to film, adding that she isn't too flexible when it came to the stunts she had to do. "There are certain scenes where a stunt double replaces me; I can't do that for close-up scenes," Yeung said. In addition, she claimed that the wire work had been particularly difficult.

The light-hearted comedy, which also features Cilla Chung,Lau Dan and other stars, has begun airing on December 29, replacing the time slot of the period drama 'Lady Sour'.
