(Photo : Samsung) Samsung might be preparing two more devices for early 2015 release, as spotted in a South Korean catalogue.

Samsung is releasing three new smartphones in South Korea in January, the Galaxy A5, A7 and Galaxy Grand Max.

The Galaxy A5 is the only device currently announced, even though rumors of the Galaxy A7 have been spreading for months. The Galaxy Grand Max is new, and likely to only be available in South Korea.

The Galaxy A7 is the largest of the three Galaxy A devices launched in 2014, featuring a 5.2-inch full HD AMOLED display.

Internally, the Galaxy A7 features a 1.5GHz octa-core Snapdragon 615 CPU, 2GB of RAM, 16GB of internal storage, 13MP rear camera and 2,500mAh battery.

Similar to the other Galaxy A devices, Samsung is skimming on the specs and offering a full metal design. The phones are made to compete with Apple's iPhone line, but analysts do not see this as the catalyst to move iPhone users to Samsung.

The Galaxy Grand Max is similar to the Galaxy A7 feature, a 5.2-inch display, however, the panel is a 720p LCD, lower quality than the Galaxy A7. The internals are also a little less spectacular on the Galaxy Grand Max, featuring a 1.2GHz CPU and 1.5GB of RAM.

Both smartphones will come with Android KitKat, Samsung has just started updating its main line of devices to Android Lollipop, meaning it could be months before the Galaxy A7 and Galaxy Grand Max will see the update.

It is not the first time Samsung has launched devices in South Korea, any device that may not do well abroad only launches in the home-country.
