Apple and Samsung aren't the only tech giants eyeing the Number 1 spot this year. LG is also joining the tech royal rumble.

According to Slash Gear, LG's custom-designed smart wearable made for Audi sedans was introduced at CES 2015, something that may interest Audi owners who are into 007 James Bond-ish style with luxurious and classy wearables.

This collaboration between Audi and LG is for Audi's self-driving Prologue sedan that was also presented during the Consumer Electronics Show. The LG smartwatch was used to start the Audi with just a single tap.

The custom-designed wearable for Audi will also run on Google's Android Wear OS, much like an upgraded version of LG's G Watch R. To add luxury to its look, a leather strap and a new user interface was added to the smartwatch (and of course, the ability to control a car).

News Everyday said NFC technology is being used to safely and securely control and interact with the Audi.

LG's sexy and lavish wearable is equipped with remarkable sensors that can detect and monitor the temperature and heart rate of the driver (much like the conventional smartwatches with fitness trackers) and will then feed the data to the car.

Google and Apple also collaborated with Audi with the use of their Android Auto and iOS in-car system (both an option), respectively.
