Kit Chan's Fellow Singers and Manager Speak Up to Her Defense

Following the rumors that she spoke out of tune on her most recent performance in 'I am a Singer 3', Singaporean singer Kit Chan's fellow singers spoke up to defend her through different platforms.

According to media reports, a member of the media who was present during the recording of the episode of said singing competition program claimed that Chan was allegedly unable to hit the right notes during her performance of the ballad song 'Xin Ru Dao Ge', a song that was popularized by veteran singer Jacky Cheung.

The same reporter also claimed that Chan's performance during the show has been 'heavily edited' by the producers right before its broadcast, sparking malicious rumors against the artist among netizens and viewers alike.

Chan remained mum about the issue, but her fellow artists have spoke up about the issue, one of them being Denise Ho, who wrote an article, stating her criticism against the production team of 'I am a Singer 3'. In the article, she stated that the team 'lacked ethics'.

On the other hand, singer-actor Ronald Cheng, expressed his support for Chan through a rather satirical post of his Facebook page, saying, "Why don't I take part in such programs? Precisely because I am tone deaf and I can't hit the high notes for nuts!" His post has then garnered more than 10,000 likes.

Bowie Lam, who co-starred with Chan in the TVB drama 'Healing Hands 2' also praised her through his Weibo account, saying that Chan's talents are 'unbeatable'.

Chan has been eliminated from the show, but her manager expressed that Chan has held numerous concerts throughout her singing career, adding that it required superb live-singing abilities.

The manager also expressed that she wishes for Chan to have more opportunities to perform in China in order for people to recognize her in a more direct manner, saying that it is better to see her talents that instead of relying on rumors alone.

Chan's manager also stated that while they respect the opinions of listeners, the most important aspect of Chan's performance is the fact that it is well-prepared for her to execute her best during performances.
