(Photo : Reuters) Apple is looking to fix some of the underlining performance issues on iOS 9.

The Apple iPhone 7 release date will include three versions as reports emerge that TSMC (Taiwan Semiconductor Manufacturing Company) will produce most of the A9 chips that will power the devices.

These reports contradict previous claims Samsung will produce the iPhone 7 processing chips. The Taipei Times reported that Samsung and TSMC are in a battle to win Apple's contract and said TSMC could win because it can guarantee output numbers within the demanded production deadline.

It's still evident that users prefer smaller versions and this is where speculation of the iPhone 6 Mini started. The mini iPhone is called the iPhone 6C, offering a budget solution and alternative to the more costly iPhone 6.

Reports said Apple is working on a smaller iPhone which features a 4-inch screen and is scheduled for released in 2015. The iPhone Mini could be the iPhone 5C's replacement that will expand the company's range of products. It could further increase sales and market share of the company.

Apple could follow up its current iPhone 6 flagship smartphone with the iPhone 6S, which could be replaced by the iPhone 7 set for release in Q3 of 2016. According to reports, Samsung will be the biggest application processor supplier in early 2016 and this will power the future Apple iPhone and iPad models.

Rumors about the next iPhone has already started and the latest one is the concept that highlights an all-screen iPhone  that eliminates bezels and provides a larger display while maintaining a small device footprint at a maximum of 5 inches.

The render applies to the current iPhone screen, which stretches diagonally to 4.7-inch. Based on Apple's past release dates, the iPhone 7 with an A9 application processor could be released in store shelves early in September 2015.

The iPhone 7 is rumored to feature a glass panel that can withstand any fall and can't be cracked. According to Apple Insider, the 2015 Apple flagship smartphone will have component protection that will make for a tougher screen and it's not because of the latest Corning Gorilla Glass coating or sapphire cover. The new patent is titled "Protective Mechanism for an Electronic Device."
