A jury finally convicted Pennsylvania resident Hugo Selenski, whose yard yielded the bodies of a missing pharmacist, the man's girlfriend and three more sets of human remains.

Selenski, 41, was convicted on Wednesday of choking to death pharmacist Michael Kerkowski and Tammy Fassett, whom he killed in a robbery incident in 2002, reports AP.

Selenski used flex ties to choke the two to death after Kerkowski refused to reveal the location of thousands of dollars that the pharmacist hid in his house.

Police found the decomposing corpses of the two in 2003 in Selenski's property.

Kerkowski, a resident of Hunlock Creek, operated a prescription drugs syndicate that earned him at least $800,000.  He was slated to be sentenced when he and Fassett disappeared in May 2002.

The jury, which took over 11 hours in two days to reach a verdict, convicted Selenski of eight to 10 counts of murder and robbery.

It has yet to decide if the convict would be given the death sentence or life imprisonment with no parole.

The jury heard more than 50 witnesses. The defense insisted that the suspect didn't kill the pair and cited lack of evidence, reports WNEP.

Selenski had a partner in killing the two, Paul Weakly, whom he met in jail in the 1990s.

According to Weakly, who led the police to Selenski's yard and testified against his partner in crime to escape the death penalty, they tied the two victims then covered their eyes with duct tape.

They hit Kerkowski with a rolling pin. Selenski then hunted the pharmacist's father and stole from him money that Kerkowski gave to his father for safekeeping.

Aside from the charges for killing the couple, Selenski was also charged with the death of two drug dealers, whose burnt bodies were recovered in his yard.

While a jury acquitted him of one homicide rap, it convicted him of abusing his victims' corpses.
