Game producer Shaun Himmerick explained that NetherRealm didn't have the time to make a demo.  He said the studio is busy tweaking and putting the final touches to the upcoming game.

Ed Boon, head of NetherRealm and co-creator of the game, has confirmed the no demo announcement via Twitter.  A lot of fans are disappointed by the announcement and made their feelings known on Ed Boon's twitter account. The game studio released playable demo for previous "Mortal Kombat" games.

Himmerick also told "Mortal Kombat" fans a new character will be released this month.  No details about the character have been revealed but rumors are betting that it will be the character Mileena.

Tyler Lansdown, a community specialist for "Mortal Kombat X", said fans should expect a trailer that will introduce the new character. Gamers are convinced about Mileena because of hints dropped by developer Derek Kirtzic in an earlier Kombat Kast stream.

During the video stream, Kirtzic said in the next trailer his favorite character will be released.  That character turns out to be Mileena.

Another update to the upcoming "Mortal Kombat X" is about the Faction Wars. Under the ladder system, players who leave and rejoin their faction before the end of the faction war will lose all XP points they've collected before abandoning their faction.

The upcoming "Mortal Kombat X" is due for release April 14.  It will be made available for the Sony PlayStation 3 and PlayStation 4 and for the Microsoft PC, Xbox 360 and Xbox One.
