Demi Lovato Contracts a Lung Infection But Is Now “Feeling Much Better”

A bit of unfortunate news for Demi Lovato fans, as the "Heart Attack" singer was rushed to the emergency room on Thursday after developing a lung infection.

However, a representative for Demi spoke to Us Weekly and revealed that Demi has been given some medications and has returned back home after getting checked up at the hospital. The representative said, "[Demi] is feeling much better today."

The 22 year-old actress and singer was reportedly transported to the Providence Tarzana Medical Center in California because she was having a hard time breathing. As reported by TMZ, the doctors who checked Demi determined that her health issue was caused by the flu and the site first reported that she was going to stay in the hospital until she fully recovers.

After news about Demi's health scare broke out, a lot of fans started tweeting and posting on various social media sites to express their support. They even made a hashtag, #GetWellSoonDemi which started trending worldwide.

According to TMZ, Demi's health condition is unfortunate as she is scheduled to work in the studio with a "big producer" for her next studio album on Tuesday when she suddenly had to be rushed to the hospital. 

Demi has yet to update her fans and make an announcement about her current condition, but she last shared a very beautiful selfie on her Instagram. In the photo she posted, she showed off her red lips while blowing a kiss and captioned it, "Snow White ain't got nothin' on me.."

Aside from working on her new album, the former Camp Rock star has been promoting her own skin care line, Devonne by Demi, which has been available since December of last year.
