Rumor has it the game will include Cassiandra 'Cassie' Cage, D'Vorah, Ermac, Ferra/Torr, Goro, Jacqueline 'Jaqci' Briggs, Kano, Kitana,  Kotal Kahn,  Kung Jin,  Kung Lao, Quan Chi,  Raiden,  Reptile and Scorpion.

Meanwhile, Sub-Zero and Takahashi Takeda have been confirmed while Mileenda and Shindel are two recurring characters.

"Mortal Kombat" game veterans Johnny Cage and Sonya Blade will likely join the rest of the official fighters declared. Jax Riggs, Liu Kang, Kenshi Takeda and Erron Black have yet to be verified.

Other rumored special added characters are Predator, Col. Al Dillon and Jason Voorhees of "Friday the 13th."

In their new video trailer, the game takes place 25 years after the 2011 "Mortal Kombat" game. It discloses a new set of characters -- Jacqueline Briggs, Takahashi Takeda and Kung Jin -- descendants of Jax Riggs, Kenshi Takeda and Kung Lao, respectively.

Set in the Outworld, the new fighters have to deal with the civil war between Kotal Kahn and Mileena, as she tries to win back the throne.

Cassie Cage is in charge of their mission to retrieve a talisman in Mileena's possession. Cassie and the team tried teaming-up with Sub-Zero but the latter impolitely refused.

The talisman was introduced in "Mortal Kombat Mythologies: Sub-Zero" and "Mortal Kombat 4."

"Mortal Kombat X'' will be out this April for mobile devices as free-to-play. PlayStation 4, Xbox One, PlayStation 3, Xbox 360 and PC are set to launch on April 14.
