Ariana Grande Bids Adieu to Nick’s Sam & Cat

Ariana Grande bids adieu to her long-time character 'Cat Valentine' in Nickelodeon's top-rating comedy series 'Sam and Cat' with alleged feud with her co-star and real-life best friend Jeanette McCurdy who stars as 'Sam Puckett.'

The hit series concludes with the 36th and final episode titled "Getting Wiggy" on July 17 as Nickelodeon official statement indicates that they will no longer be producing episodes of the hit series.

Originally a 20-episode season, hit-maker Dan Schneider's 'Sam and Cat' quickly became Nick's highest-rated series that the company doubled their order of episodes.

The main characters of 'Sam and Cat' played by McCurdy and Grande, respectively were both existing characters from other Nick shows-Sam Puckett from iCarly and Cat Valentine from Victorious.

Exhausted, the 40-episode shoot has taken its toll on all the cast of the show with McCurdy going through a tough time during the past six months with the leak of her sexy photos while Grande's career in the music industry is beginning to takeoff.

Rumors of a rift between the two were spread in March when McCurdy accused Nickelodeon of unfair treatment which was purportedly because Grande was being paid more than she is.

McCurdy opted to not attend the 2014 Nickelodeon Kids' Choice Awards and un-following the Grande on social media.

However, the chart-topper clarified in her Twitter in April that she and McCurdy have initially agreed that they would be "treated equally in all regards" and that the rumors are false.

Nickelodeon did not give further explanation as to the reason why the show was cut short. Their official statement only indicated that the company will no longer produce more episodes of 'Sam and Cat'.

"We are very proud of the show and its very talented cast and we wish them the best," it added.
