Sledgehammer Games didn't release the Havoc DLC packs simultaneously among the three platform. Instead, the game studio first released the DLC pack as an Xbox live exclusive.

After a month, the DLC was released on the PlayStation Network. Technical issues forced the game developer to delay the release of the PC version for another week.

Havoc features four new maps for the multiplayer mode.

The first map is called Core.  Players will be deployed in a rundown nuclear plant located in the Gobi desert.  Players can engage in close quarter or long range combat.  Decontamination drones can assist you to wipe out your enemies.

Urban features a futuristic super structure where players can fight each other up close and extremely personal.  Exoskeleton suits are extremely useful and indispensible in this map.

Sideshow is situated in Devil's Tower, Wyoming.  Players will fight inside and outside a clown inn.

In addition, the mining facilities and surrounding terrain are ideal for either long range or close quarter combat.  To keep the combat interesting, cannonball barrage, lights and music can be activated using a map-based score streak.

Last, but certainly not the least, is the Drift map, a ski resort on top of the Rocky Mountains. Aside from fighting opponents, players will have a chance to ride a carousel that will give them a 360 degree killing zone.  Players will also have to deal with avalanches that can certainly add to the confusion.

The most anticipated part of the DLC is the exo zombies. The story tells of four survivors in exo skeleton suits fighting hordes of zombies. One of the survivors is voiced by actor John Malkovich.
