Receiver Andre Johnson has parted with the Houston Texans and enters into free agency.

Since the Texans were unable to find a suitable team to trade Johnson to, they have since released their franchise reception leader.

The sever-time Pro Bowl receiver is still hunting for the Super Bowl ring that has continued to elude him throughout the 13 years he has played in the National Football League (NFL).

He hopes to join a number of potential contender teams hoping that he can be of service as possession receiver and a threat in the red zone.

Currently, the Philadelphia Eagles and the Baltimore Ravens both have Johnson on their radar.

Both teams are in need of a receiver as they have both parted ways with their team's old receivers.

The Eagles have moved on from Jeremy Maclin who is now headed to the Kansas City Chiefs to be reunited with old Eagles Head Coach Andy Reid.

The Ravens on the other hand let go of Torrey Smith who could also reunite with former Raven Anquan Boldin in the San Francisco 49ers.

The two teams could use Johnson's services and are scrambling to persuade him to their fold.

These teams aren't the only ones on the hunt though, as the NFC Champions Seattle Seahawks could also have an interest in the 6-foot-3, 230-pound receiver.

Johnson has surpassed 1,000 receiving yards in 7 out of 12 seasons that he has played. He has also caught a total of 85 passes amounting to 936 and three touchdowns, all of which while playing for four different quarterbacks last season.

Turning 34 in July, Johnson draws inspiration and hopes to emulate Steve Smith Sr., who had a strong 2014 season with the Ravens - with 1,065 yards, 79 catches, and six touchdowns - at 35 years of age.

The free agent market is open and it will be interesting to see which team will nab Johnson in the end.
