Bodies of those who perished in the Argentina twin helicopter crash, including those of the three French sports stars, have been taken out from the wreckage Tuesday.

Investigators search through the debris trying to get as much evidence that would help in the ongoing probe into the crash.  Cellphones, bits of papers and mostly charred and unrecognizable items were plucked from the wreckage.

All ten passengers were killed after two helicopters collided, burst into flames and crashed into the rugged mountains near Villa Castelli in the Argentine province of La Rioja.

The victims include three prominent French athletes -- Olympic champion swimmer Camille Muffat, Olympic bronze-medalist boxer Alexis Vastine and pioneering sailor Florence Arthaud, who were all filming the reality TV show "Dropped."

France mourns the loss of three of its great athletes as it launches its own probe into the crash.  France President Francois Hollande has sent two investigators and two aeronautical experts to assist Argentine authorities in finding out what went wrong.

Initial reports showed the weather was generally good at the time of the accident, but speculations emerged that afternoon sun and strong winds might have been a factor for the crash.

At the moment of impact "the sun was setting on the Andes mountain range directly in front of them. Also this is an area with wind gusts," La Rioja's aviation director Daniel Gorkich said.

Expression of grief and deep sadness continue to pour in.  President of the International Olympic Committee Thomas Back said, "We are shocked by this sad news.  The world of sport and the Olympic family have lost three of their key members."

Prime Minister Manuel Valls tweeted as he goes through immense sadness, saying France is grieving.

William Forgues, Muffat's boyfriend, said she was often called "Miss 100%" because she has won everything.  Forgues shared, "She went on this trip so happy. It was her choice to be there."

British yachtswoman Dame Ellen MacArthur said Arthaud had inspired many women to pursue their dreams in sailing.  She won the 1990 Route du Rhum, which opened the door for women to join the male-dominated sport.

For Dominique Nato, the former technical director of the French Boxing Federation, losing Vastine caused immeasurable pain. "It feels like I've lost a member of my family. He was my friend, he was like my little brother."

The Adventure Line Productions, the company behind the program, said its staff were deeply devastated and share the pain of the victims' families and loved ones.

More than 80 cast and crew of the show "Dropped" arrived on Sunday in Villa Castelli, where it had previously filmed a version of the show for Switzerland and Denmark.
