"Whoever fired those shots shouldn't detract from the issue," says the President, in response to Jimmy Kimmel's query.

"They're criminals, they need to be arrested. And then what we need to do is make sure that like-minded, good-spirited people on both sides, law-enforcement who have a terrifically tough job, and people who understand they don't want to be stopped and harassed because of their race, that we're able to work together and try and come up with some good answers." He further added.

Obama also offered his thoughts and prayers to the officers who made the shot and referred his speech to the 50th anniversary of civil rights in Selma, Alabama.

"What was beautiful about Selma was reminding ourselves that real social change in this country so often has happened because ordinary people are willing in a non-violent fashion to make their voices heard," reveals Obama.

The President shares that though his two daughters have the latest smartphones, he's not allowed to use the new 'fangled' technology

In a series of statements about racial abuse, violence and tension, the President also broke the ice by reading several 'mean tweets' about him. However, Obama was still unfazed.

Obama could've had the easier option of doing a live satellite link-up to meet Kimmel but instead opted to fly to Los Angeles to meet the host in person.

"I still have a Blackberry. I don't text. I e-mail," shares Obama.

Kimmel also asked the President if he could divulge Hillary Clinton's email address, pertaining to the current issue of the Former First Lady using a private email account while still in office.

"I don't think she'd want you to have it, frankly," replied Obama, emphasizing he wasn't allowed to divulge the information.

After the 'Kimmel' taping, the President attended a Democratic National Committee Fundraiser at the Santa Monica Home of Chris Silbermann, President of ICM Partners.

Obama will also attend a roundtable event on veteran's health care in Arizona on Friday.

But his appearance on the show was heavily criticized by the residents due to increased traffic congestion during his travel to the studio. Obama chose to travel by helicopter as an easier route but this didn't stop other netizens from bashing on social media.
