In the demo, a player will enter the Arena Commander Space combat module to fly an Anvil Hornet F7C trainer spaceship. The demo also allows players in the first person mode to enter the Hangar Module.

The 20 GB client demo is a mere 20 percent of the actual main client and is much bigger at 100 GB. Star Citizen is scheduled for release in 2016.

Critics point out the large size of the game client will discourage many gamers from downloading Star Citizen. The 100 GB is the basic size of the game client and it doesn't even mention the patches for the game that will surely add considerable space.

Others argue however, the quality of the game will be the driving force for players to patiently download the Star Citizen client despite its size.

The upcoming game is actually quite popular.  It's expected to raise at least US$100 million from its crowdfunding campaign.

The game is quite big, which explains its 100 GB size. Star Citizen is a massive online space combat and first person shooter game. Chris Robert, creator of the game, had 300 people develop Star Citizen.

Depending on your graphic card, the previews and the demo shows stunning graphics and breathtaking sceneries of outer space.  Game reviewers cautioned the controls of the space craft will take time getting used to.  A simple mistake in the cockpit controls can end your space trip real quick.
