Vine updated its iOS app March 18. The new update will make the app start faster and continue to work even in the offline mode.

Users will also be able to download videos in Vine when it's closed. This means the downloaded videos can be played on Vine even without an internet connection.

The video will first be preloaded in the main feed and from the explore section of Vine. This feature, however, may take much of your data space, especially if you're a heavy user of Vine's services.

Users will need to go to the app refresh setting to free up some memory. Those with slow internet connections can also avail of Vine's smaller video size option. Android users are also set to receive a Vine update of their own.

Vine has released a video clip that shows its app before and after update when used on offline mode.

Vine is a free photo and video sharing app developed Vine Labs, Inc. The app is available on iOS, Android and Windows mobile devices.

Users are given free and unlimited uploads. Vine instantly posts your photos and videos you can share via Facebook and Twitter.

The app is also available and localized in at least 17 languages. Features include options to filter sensitive contents. Users have the choice to turn the camera flash on or off.

To record a video in Vine or import it, simply touch the screen of your smartphone or tablet.  The app also has editing tools to help you adjust the look of your photo or video.

The developer coined the term Vine to describe the user recorded and uploaded videos. The app is a medium where users can creatively express themselves. Vine offers a place where people can connect with each other.
