DJIT, the creator of the popular DJ app EDJing, recently announced the upcoming release of its newest product, Mixfader, which is basically a wireless crossfader control device.

The crossfader lets users control the playback between the virtual decks as they combine it with the DJ app. DJIT released a short video to demonstrate how this combo works.

The video shows how a DJ mixes, scratches and spins the virtual vinyl in an iPad tablet in tandem with the Mixfader device.

Most DJ apps make use of a virtual crossfader. Mixfader, however, lets users pull off more complex mixes or scratches based on the movement of the "turntablist".

A virtual crossfader is probably good enough but being able to touch a physical crossfader like the Mixfader is very appealing.

The Mixfader can be connected to your smartphone or tablet through Bluetooth. Most DJ apps out in the market are troubled by latency issues.

But DJIT assures users they won't encounter any latency issues while doing technical scratches.  The company spent five years of R&D to back this claim up.

The upcoming crossfader device is due to be released this fall.

Unfortunately, DJIT is tightlipped about how much it will cost when it hits the store shelves.  Nevertheless, it will most likely be far more economical than buying an actual deck set and mixer.

The idea of pairing a DJ app with a physical device isn't new. But the Mixfader and DJ app combination is the best looking yet.

The demo video shows the Mixfader performing well but a lot of people would rather see an actual performance when it's released this fall.
