Actor Jamie Foxx, who made a comment about Bruce Jenner's transition to a woman at an awards show, was lambasted by The Trevor Project, a LGBT group for his "insensitive comments", according to Channel News Asia.

"Bruce Jenner will be here doing musical performances, He's doing a his and her duet all by himself," quipped Foxx while on stage during the iHeart Radio Awards show, televised by NBC.

Foxx made a joke twice about the former Olympian gold medalist and ex-husband of Kris Jenner, the Kardashian matriarch.

"Look I'm just busting your balls, while I still can," joked Foxx, in an opening monologue, with Bruce Jenner's picture behind him used as a backdrop.

The Trevor Project gives counseling and support for lesbian, gay, bisexual, transgender and questioning youth.

"Insensitive comments made in the media only exacerbate the problems," said the support group, in an official statement released in Monday.

"Given the struggles that the LGBTQ youth face on a daily basis, comments like these don't help to provide an atmosphere of tolerance and understanding," the support group further added.

Official representatives for Foxx and Jenner declined to comment.

The 65 year old former Olympian shocked the world with his rumors of 'transitioning', though he has not revealed in public about his transition of becoming a woman.

A media reports states that he already revealed his decision to his immediate family.

Jenner reportedly agreed to do a one on one interview with TV personality Diane Sawyer on ABC Network, to further elucidate his transition. Although a specific date for the interview is still not known.
