EXO Celebrates Their 3rd Year Anniversary with Fans on ‘Sukira’

South Korean-Chinese boy group EXO celebrated their third year anniversary a day early with fans on a radio show entitled 'Super Junior's Kiss the Radio' on April 7, Tuesday.

April 8 is a special date for EXO and their fans alike since it marks the group's official debut date. In 2012, EXO  debuted and released their very first single, 'MAMA', and their first mini album which goes with the same title. The group also performed their single for the first time on SBS' 'Inkigayo', following a series of video teasers.

This year, to celebrate the group's third year in the industry, EXO-L, EXO's official fan club, trended the hashtag #3YearsWithEXO. The Korean hashtag made by their local fans also trended worldwide.

EXO also made an appearance on 'Super Junior's Kiss the Radio', more popularly known among fans as 'Sukira'. However, Chinese members Tao and Lay were not able to attend the event since the former is said to be suffering from injuries which have worsened following their comeback performance. On the one hand, Lay is in currently in China to shoot his scenes for the film 'Oh My God'.

Super Junior member and the host of the show, Ryeowook, announced EXO's third year anniversary and cheered for them.

Despite being in the K-Pop music scene for only three years, EXO has proven their prowess and proved their strength as a performing group, not only in Korea, but also overseas.

The group has also set records with their impressive album sales following the release of their first full-length album 'XOXO'. It is expected that their new album 'EXODUS' will be breaking records as well.

In related news, EXO is also celebrating their first award for their new title track 'Call Me Baby' which they've won on SBS 'Inkigayo' on Sunday, April 5.
