In 2014, almost a million units of OnePlus One were sold.  One of the major attractions of this flagship phone is its low price compared to the rival brands.

Rumors are going around a new OnePlus Two version is going to be released this fall and with new features.

The rumored OnePlus Two smartphone will have "a laser focus fingerprint identification system" set in the phone's home button.

The processor will probably be the Snapdragon 64-bit 810 chip. The design is almost certain to bear close resemblance to the Oppo Find 7.  The previous OnePlus smartphone also looks like the Find 7.

It's likely that both companies share some special ties since most of the top executives of OnePlus are former Oppo people.

With regards to price, however, the OnePlus Two will be more expensive than its predecessor, which was sold at US$299.  It's understandable the addition of new hardware and features will certainly drive the price up.

The low price of its OnePlus One phone as opposed to the price of its rivals' flagship phones meant the company sacrificed its profit margin for market share.

There's no news yet if the OnePlus Two will maintain the invitation system. This special process of availing the OnePlus One smartphone unit angered a number of customers.  Hopefully the company is now able to have a reasonable estimate on how many customers it will get and the smartphone units it will need on the first few days of release.

Other rumors about this upcoming flagship smartphone say it may have a metal build and a smaller screen.

Carl Pei, cofounder of OnePlus, publicly stated the OnePlus Two will "surprise people." For the sake of OnePlus, that "surprise" better be a pleasant one for its customers.
