The Philadelphia Eagles have found their new quarterback heading into the National Football League's (NFL) upcoming season in the form of Tim Tebow.

The 27-year Tebow was last part of the current Super Bowl champions, the New England Patriots. However, the contract was signed for two years with no guaranteed money, making him a member of the practice team.

Tebow did have time-based incentives with the Patriots in 2014 though. He struggled with the Patriots, completing only 11 out of 30 passes for a total of 145 yards, two touchdowns, and two interceptions in three postseason games.

He was released from the squad on August 2013. Since then, he has been without a team and ultimately out of the NFL.

That has not stopped him from pursuing and fulfilling his career dreams in the NFL though.

Now, his hard work and dedication to his passion has paid off as the Eagles and Chip Kelly are taking him on a one-year deal on Monday.

Last month, Tebow had been attending the training camp of the Eagles. Sources state that the framework for his contract was put in place then. Reports indicate he will be paid the minimum salary.

He flew to Philadelphia last Sunday, just in time to begin the offseason program of the Eagles.

Tebow will join an already crowded Eagles quarterback roster including Sam Bradford, Mark Sanchez, and Matt Barkley. This will give the Eagles three first-round pick quarterbacks and one decorated college player

Prior to returning to the NFL, Tebow has been training with renowned throwing coach Tom House since 2012. House had also been working with the Patriots' quarterback Tom Brady.

Apart from that, Tebow joined ESPN and lent his football knowledge to an analyst position for the SEC network.

The last time he played an NFL regular season game was with the New York Jets in 2012.

Now, Tim Tebow's journey for NFL greatness continues with the Philadelphia Eagles.
