Coroner Roger Hatch ruled that UK TV host, writer and model, Peaches Geldof, died of a heroin overdose.

In an inquest detailing Geldof's death, Hatch stated that the 25-year old daughter of singer-songwriter Bob Geldof took a fatal dose of heroin after being off the drug for more than two years.

Aside from the heroin found in her body, Hatch also discovered traces of methadone and morphine in her system.

Details about her addiction to heroin and her use of the drug substitute methadone were also presented in the inquest.

According to Detective Chief Inspector Paul Fotheringham, head of the investigation, when they found her "she was slumped forward onto her front with her left arm draped over an open laptop computer."

She was said to have had puncture wounds on her wrists and thumbs, apparently left behind by a needle.

Police have ruled out suicide, but are searching for the person who supplied Geldof with the drugs.

Upon investigation of Geldof's home, police discovered "importation quality" brown heroin powder hidden in a black bag inside a cupboard over her bedroom door. Drug paraphernalia were also found stashed inside her home.

The heroin found by investigators, totaling to 6.91 grams and worth around £350 to £550, had a purity of 61 percent.

The syringe, which contained the dose of heroin that killed her, was found inside a box of sweets next to bed.

In 2009, Geldof said that she was no longer doing drugs. Her husband, musician Thomas Cohen, revealed that despite Geldof's attempts at staying clean, she started using heroin again last February.

Her mother Paula Yates also died of a heroin overdose. She was 41.

Geldof was found dead in her home in southeast England. She left behind her husband, Thomas Cohen, and two kids, Astala and Phaedra.
