According to Irish actor Colin Farrell, 38, he is not interested in looking for love but would rather place all his attention in raising his children, sons James, 11, and Henry, 5.

The actor told Sunday Times that he has not dated in four years now and he knows this is not what people expect to hear about him.  He said he has been busy with work and the children and that is "the honest truth."

In 2001, Farrell dated English actress Amelia Warner for four months and there were speculations that the two got married.  The following month after they separated, it was reported that the marriage was not legal.

After Warner, British-American writer Emma Forrest dated the actor for over a year, writing her experience in her in depth memoir, "Your Voice in My Head."

According to her, she and Farrell were planning to have a child together before their relationship ended.

Farrell was later linked to singer Britney Spears, model Josie Maran, Playboy cover girl Nicole Narain, and actresses, Maeve Quinlan, Angelina Jolie, and Demi Moore.

In 2003 Farrell had a son with American model Kim Bordenave.   In 2007, Farrell said his son, named James Padraig Farrell has, a rare genetic disorder called Angelman syndrome that is characterized by intellectual and developmental delay.

The actor then dated Muirann McDonnell, an Irish medical student from 2007 to 2008.   In October 2009, the actor fathered his second son with Ondine co-star Alicja Bachleda-Curuś.  They ended their relationship in mid-2010.

Farrell, who is currently working in the new season of "True Detective" alongside Vince Vaughn said that his life no longer revolves around himself anymore and that his priority is to help his two sons find their place in the world.  Because of this, the Golden Globe winner is happy that unnecessary pressures have been removed from his life.
