He implied that the personnel went a little overboard by spot checking an infant. In addition, the actor also revealed that the security allegedly even took his son's feeding bottle away and threw it in the trash bin.

On April 28, Tuesday, the 35-year old actor sarcastically aired his grievances against the airport and wrote, "Thanks Gatwick security! Some might think body-searching a baby and binning his bottle was over zealous and weird, but not me!" ending his post with the hashtag #ScaryBaby.

In response to "Moone Boy" star's complaints, the spokesperson of the London airport told the media that all passengers go through the normal security screening process that the airport management has mandated.

The management of Gatwick Airport explained that when babies come through their security spot checks, they ask the parents to carry their children in order to be scanned. However, if their security equipment picks up something during the scan, they are ordered to carry out a full body check on both the parent and the baby.

As for the actor's complaint about the security personnel taking his son's feeding bottle away, the Gatwick Airport representative stated that the government has placed restrictions when it comes to liquids being brought into air terminals.

"Passengers are advised that when travelling with a baby they are allowed to take enough baby food, baby milk and sterilized water for the journey," Gatwick Airport said.
