Messer also announced that it was a right decision to disclose AJ Cook's, plays Jennifer Jareau, pregnancy during the season finale and explain why her character did not appear in the first two episodes of the present season. Apparently, the production team laid the groundwork for it, so they can remind the viewers during the premieres that AJ was pregnant at the time.

Jennifer Love Hewitt, according to TV Series Finale, bids goodbye from "Criminal Minds" during the finale of the 10th season. Although, she had made a lot of viewers endear to her character, Kate Callahan, Hewitt opted to leave the show. There were speculations that Hewitt should be leaving by the end of the season. The finale, titled "The Hunt," was very intensive for Hewitt's character. The finale focused on the story of the creepy online stalker guy which they are investigating during the pilot episode. The team puts all its force aside from saving Kate's niece Meg, who is held hostage by the stalker. The season 10 finale of the "Criminal Minds" was aired in May 6.

Although, Hewitt left the show, it will still continue to follow the Behavioral Analysis Unit (BAU) of the FBI as it was extended for its 11th season. The cast included, Shemar Moore, Matthew Gray Gubler, Thomas Gibson, AJ Cook, Joe Mantegna and Kirsten Vangsness.
