Real-life Rapunzel Charlie Tillotson of Sidmouth has never even trimmed her hair until now as she decides to donate two feet of her blonde hair to a cancer wig charity.

The six-year-old Good Samaritan now flaunts a short bob hair after she had her haircut last week and donated 24 inches of her hair to the charity group named Little Princess Trust which provides real hair wigs to children suffering from hair loss.

"She doesn't like her hair being touched," Charlie's father, Steve, stated adding that he was 'gobsmaked' when his little girl announced her plan to donate her hair to become wigs for children with cancer noting that she once never wanted it cut.

Charlie decided to go on with this act of kindness after she saw photos of children with cancer and wanted 'a girl with cancer to feel like a princess' as she does.

Aside from giving up her lovely long hair, the little angel also raised over £1,300 for the Children with Cancer UK while only aiming for her £600 goal for more than a week via JustGiving.com/CharlieTillotson.

And, she also vowed to give more of her hair as it grows longer.

"We're both very proud. Now she is saying she wants to grow it back so she can do it again for another child," 27-year-old Amy, Charlie's mother, told the Daily Star.

Her very first haircut was done by a family friend and salon owner Rhianne Woodruff.

Her hair has been sent to China to be turned into a wig and will be returned to UK for donation to the Little Princess Trust charity, which would normally cost around £5,000 in retail.
