Boxing fans' wait for the so-called "Fight of the Century" might be long over but for Floyd Mayweather Jr. is still playing the waiting game: how much did the fight cost?

Mayweather said in a radio interview that he expects revenue from the fight with Filipino boxing champ Manny Pacquiao to be worth nearly $700 million, Boxing Scene reported, citing the boxer's interview with DJ Whoo Kid on Shade 45 Radio.

Talking about the final tally from pay-per-view sales, Mayweather said that they expect the number to reach 5.2 million as the current number of PPV buys is reportedly at 4.5 million.

Combining the PPV numbers with other factors such as overseas revenue and merchandise, Mayweather said it is "a possibility" to hit the $700 million mark.

Meanwhile, Mayweather, who has been criticized for a seeminly lackluster performance on the ring also told the radio host that he had already predicted the fight's outcome several years ago.

"I posted a video six years ago of what I said, that when I beat Pacquiao people would say it was boring. ...It’s not my fault that I was able to alleviate anything he was trying to do. Whatever your best attribute is, I take it away from you and disarm you, and that’s what I did," Mayweather said, according Inquisitr.

At this point, it is unclear how much each boxer will receive from the bout but it can be recalled that Pacquiao agreed to a 40 percent cut, with the undisputed boxing champ earning the lion's share.

Boxing Scene noted that the current record for the highest PPV sales for a boxing match was Mayweather's fight with Oscar De La Hoya in 2007 with 2.48 million buys.

Mayweather has also repeatedly said that he will not grant a rematch with the Philippines' Pacman but that he will fight a yet-to-be-selected fighter in September.
