Season after season, as he continues to break three-point shooting records in the NBA, a steady growth of new believers are starting to evangelize that Stephen Curry is probably the league's best shooter of all-time, as per Sean Highkin of NBC Sports' Pro Basketball Talk.

Of course, that's not a disrespect to all the great hit men in NBA history. All are legends in their own right for sure, but all the buzz is just an accurate observation of what has been happening on the court these days.

Stephen Curry is an assassin. A baby-faced assassin, if you will.

However, when it comes to crowning the NBA's greatest shooter of all-time, it is important not to do it with haste. A lot of factors come into play to determine this.

First, let's look at the numbers. The following figures are from the NBA's official stats website.

So far, Curry lands at no. 50 all-time in three-pointers made in the regular season with 1,191. Although among the top 50, he has the lowest games played at 416. Ray Allen tops the list with 2,973 at 1,300 GP. Curry's present rate is 2.86 3PM/game while Allen's was 2.29. At his current rate, Steph will overtake Allen after 624 more regular games, which is about eight more seasons, assuming that he plays the full 82 games every year and Allen would not come back.

But the greatest shooter is not defined only by how many shots he made. The efficiency of his shots should also be considered.

Curry is at no. 3 all-time in three-point field goal percentage with an even 44% accuracy. His coach, Steve Kerr, tops the list at 45.4% career all-time. Although of the two, Curry had already taken 2,704 three-point shots in his young 6-year career, while coach Kerr had only taken 1,599 three balls in his 15 seasons in the NBA. Moreover, Curry is the number one offensive option of his team while Kerr is, what, number five or six in Chicago?

These are the numbers, now we go to the sentiments.

Reportedly, one of the newest converts of Club Curry is legendary point guard Steve Nash. In an interview with Bleacher Report's Ric Bucher, Nash candidly said that "from the eye test, he's the greatest there's ever been." Those are truly powerful words from someone who is included in the conversation as well.

But that's not all that he said. Nash conceded that his higher shooting career percentages are due to his pass-first mentality. He went on to say that Curry is most likely to shoot at a lower career percentage because he has to fire more shots than him, adding that "he should" being the team's scoring leader.

The case for Curry as the league's greatest shooter of all-time continues to grow. But for now, the case is not going to get closed anytime soon.
