Simon Leung will be joining leading Chinese game and internet developer NetDragon Websoft Inc. as the Deputy Chairman of the Board of Directors. He was formerly associated to technology giant Microsoft as the Senior Vice President worldwide.

According to China Tech News, NetDragon, a leading Chinese game developer, has confirmed that Leung, formerly associated to Microsoft, will be joining them as the deputy Chairman of Board of Directors as he will bring on board a wide variety of experience. He was formerly associated with Microsoft as Senior Vice President and the CEO of the Greater China region, and as he joins NetDragon, Leung will continue to be the Chief Executive Officer of Huayu Education Technology Company Limited, a subsidiary of NetDragon.

In his new role, Leung will be responsible for spearheading the overall strategic development of the company and also manage the daily operations in an efficient manner. The strategic planning will take care of NetDragon's education-related initiatives throughout the world, indicating the importance of the role that Leung has been given, EIN News confirmed. 

During his association with Microsoft, Leung was responsible for the development and successful completion of various projects in the region. There are several records that have been made public that describes Leung's extensive experience in the domain of management; however, only time will be able to tell, whether or not, Leung will be able to repeat his Microsoft success story with NetDragon.

Meanwhile, the management of NetDragon seems to be quite satisfied to have Leung on-board.

Commenting on Leung's joining NetDragon, Liu Dejian, chairman of NetDragon and founder of its subsidiary Huayu Education, said that the company values Leung's experience and is happy to have him on board. He also added that Leung's rich experience in team management, government relationship and education sector will help in steering the company towards growth.

It is expected that Leung's expertise will help Huayu Education achieve development in cooperation between government and enterprise. This, in turn, is expected to play a pivotal role in dividing the company's ambitious plans of overseas expansion.
