'Mirror's Edge 2' News: 'Catalyst' PS4, Xbox One Cover Art Leaked By Amazon; Live-Action Trailer Streamed Online [VIDEO]

According to PlayStationLifeStyle, the game covers for "Mirror's Edge 2" or rather "Mirrors Edge Catalyst" have been leaked online by retailing website Amazon. The website posted two cover photos of "Mirror's Edge Catalyst" for the PlayStation 4 and Xbox One featuring the game's protagonist Faith Conners.

It was previously reported that "Mirror's Edge Catalyst" was first spotted in NeoGaf website By JA Kemp from Harmonization, an internal market for EA Games.

Several gaming fans have speculated that "Mirror's Edge Catalyst" is the sequel for the first game; however, PC Gamer reported that EA Games and DICE confirmed that "Mirror's Edge Catalyst" is not a sequel.

Sarah Jansson, senior producer for "Mirror's Edge Catalyst" stated on the game's official website that it is an entirely different story and it is not "Mirror's Edge 2," as far as they are concern. She further adds that "Catalsyt" is developed to further introduce "Mirror's Edge" to whole new generation of gamers, and believed the game could do much more in the future.

Aside from the leaked covers, it was reported that "Mirror's Edge" will have its own comic book title and it will be publsihed by Dark Horse comics. Dark Horse further revealed the comic book will be six-issue series at it will be called "Mirror's Edge: Exordium."

The fist issue of the "Mirror's Edge" comics will launch on Sept. 9, 2015 at around $4.

Lastly, there have been reports of a new trailer for "Mirror's Edge Catalyst" spreading online.

According to Eurogamer, the "Mirror's Edge Catalyst" trailer turns out to be a fan made video by Claudio Voico as a way to express his excitement about the game's appearance next week during E3 2015.


The video features a lot of free-running and parkour moves in a first-person, similar to the game as "Faith" trie to escape from the Blues on the rooftops and buildings in Croydon. There are also several action scenes such as close combat and gun fights as well as zip-lining and helicopter stunts

DICE and EA Games will be showcasing "Mirror's Edge Catalyst" at E3 2015 next week, along with new game details and a possible launch date for PS4 and Xbox One consoles.
